Frequently Asked Questions
How is Joyso different from calling Anthropic / OpenAI directly?
Direct APIs charge per-token at the official list price and require you to manage separate accounts, billing portals, and SDKs for each provider. Joyso pools subscription-tier quotas (Claude Pro, ChatGPT Plus, Gemini Pro, X Premium) into a unified gateway, so you get one API key, one billing dashboard, and lower effective cost — typically 30–70% below direct API rates.
Are my API keys and prompts private?
Yes. Each user gets their own API key. Request bodies and responses are not stored beyond the metadata required for billing (token counts, model name, timestamp). We do not train models on your data, and we do not share content with upstream providers beyond what's necessary to fulfill the request.
What happens if a provider is rate-limited or down?
Joyso uses smart load balancing across multiple upstream accounts. If one account hits a rate limit, traffic automatically moves to the next available one. For complete provider outages, the gateway returns the upstream error so your code can handle it; we don't silently swap models.
Can I use Claude Code CLI / Codex CLI / Gemini CLI?
Yes. Joyso is fully compatible with Claude Code, Codex CLI, and Gemini CLI. Just point the tool at https://app.joyso.ai/api as the base URL and use your Joyso API key. Sticky session routing keeps multi-turn conversations on the same upstream account.
What payment methods do you accept?
We support credit/debit cards, Alipay, and WeChat Pay through our integrated payment gateway. Top-up amounts are converted to account balance and consumed as you make API calls.
Is there a free trial?
Registration is free and includes a small starter credit so you can test the API before topping up. No credit card required to sign up.
Where is Joyso hosted?
Our gateway is hosted in Taipei, Taiwan with low-latency routing to upstream providers in the US, EU, and Asia-Pacific. We do not require ICP filing, so users worldwide can access the service directly.
